It's All About 'Lubi Lubi'

First question would be: What is 'Lubi Lubi' and why 'Lubi Lubi'?

'Lubi Lubi' is neither the local name of a kind of vegetable nor the rice dance. 'Lubi Lubi' means doggy to me because I tend to call a doggy 'Lubi Lubi' whenever I don't know its name! LoLz! Foochow people's way of calling a dog! =P

I always want to have a dog but at the same time I don't wanna get myself into trouble! To treat a dog is just like to treat it as your own child. You have to care for it, play with it and bla bla bla. Moreover, there are too many types of dogs available and most of them are so damn cute! >___<

I looked up the American Kennel Club and  found the ranks of the most popular dogs in U.S. in the year of 2010.

1. Labrador Retriever
Labrador Retriever is a type of gun dog used for hunting. The dogs of this breed are very loving, kind, loyal and compassionate to their master! Labradors are athletic and love to swim, play catch and retrieve games, are good with young children, and for protection!

Yes, Labrador Retriever is always one of my favourite dog type! So cute although it's huge! =)

2. German Shepherd

German Shepherd is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany. As part of the Herding group, the German Shepherd is a working dog developed originally for herding and guarding sheep. Because of its strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training it is often employed in police and military roles around the world. due to its loyal and protective nature, the German Shepherd is one of the most registered of breeds.

By the way, I'm not so into it because it looks fierce! Scare its bite! >___<

3. Yorkshire Terrier
Yorkshire terrier is a small dog breed of terrier type, developed in the 19th century in the historical area of Yorkshire, England to catch rats in clothing mills. It is a winning show dog and a popular companion dog.

This is cute. And now only I know it is named Yorkshire Terrier! =P

4. Beagle
Beagle is a breed of small to medium-sized dog. Beagles are scent hounds, developed primarily for tracking hare, rabbit, and other game. They have a keen sense of smell and tracking instinct that sees them employed as detection dogs for prohibited agricultural imports and foodstuffs in quarantine around the world. beagles are inteligent, and are popular as pets because of the size, even temper, and lack of inherited health problems.

This is my another favourite dog and now only I know that Snoopy is actually a beagle!! LoLz..

5. Golden Retriever
Golden Retriever is a medium-sized breed of dog. They were bred to have a soft mouth to retrieve game undamaged and have an instinctive love of water. The golden retriever has a dense inner coat that provides it with adequate warmth. The breed's intelligence and versatility suit the dogs well for a variety of roles including guide dog for the blind, hearing dog for deaf people, hunting dog, illegal drug detector, and search and rescue participant. Because of their loyal and gentle temperament, golden retrievers are also popular family pets. Golden Retriever possess a friendly, eager-to-please demeanour.

Golden Retriever! I love it as well!  Feel warm to hug it tight! =P

6. Bulldog
The bulldog is a breed with characteristically wide shoulders and a matching head and they are one of very few breeds whose tail is naturally short and curled. Despite their famous 'sourpuss' expression, bulldogs are generally docile and easy to please. They can move quickly over short distances. Bulldogs do not need a lot of physical exercise, so they are well-suited for living in apartments and other urban environments. They are friendly and gregarious but occasionally willful

The only comment I would say is: it looks really funny. Hahaha..

7. Boxer
Boxer is a breed of stocky, medium size, short-haired dog. Boxers are bright, energetic and playful breed and tend to be very good with children. They are active and incredibly strong dogs and require adequate exercise to prevent boredom-associated behaviors such as chewing, digging, or licking. Boxer by nature is not an aggressive or vicious breed but, when provoked, is a formidable guardian of any family or home and, like all dogs, requires socialization. Boxers are generally patient with smaller dogs and puppies, but difficulties with larger adult dogs, especially those of the same sex, may occur. Boxers are generally more comfortable with companionship, in either human or canine form.

I'm surprise with its characteristic because it looks fierce and not friendly at all. =X

8. Dachshund
Dachshund is a short-legged, long-bodied dog breed belonging to the hound family. Dachshunds are playful, but can be stubborn, and are known for their propensity for chasing small animals, birds, and tennis balls with great determination and ferocity. Many dachshunds are stubborn, making them a challenge to train. They have a loud bark and without proper training they can become nuisance barkers. Dachshunds are known for their devotion and loyalty to their owners, though they can be standoffish towards strangers. If left alone, many dachshunds will whine until they have companionship. Some dachshunds are prone to separation anxiety and may chew objects in the house to relieve stress. Dachshunds can be difficult to housebreak, and patience and consistency is often needed in this endeavor.

Well, got to meet a small dachshund puppy last week and she's so damn cute!! Looking forward to seeing her soon! =)

9. Poodle
The Standard Poodle is regarded as the second most intelligent breed of dog after border collie, and before the German Shepherd. Classified as highly energetic, poodles can also get bored fairly easily and have been known to get creative about finding mischief. Poodles like to be in the center of things and are easily trained to do astonishing tricks involving both brains and agility. Poodles are extremely people-oriented dogs and generally eager to please. Standard poodles in particular tend to be good with children. Poodles are adaptable and easy to train, but sometimes their intelligence can make them obstinate and stubborn. They appreciate daily exercise, such as a walk or a play session. Most are fairly agile and athletic

The Standard Poodle looks not so nice and not so cute ler! By the way, most poodles are cute and so damn excited when you are playing with them!

10.  Shih Tzu
The Shih Tzu is often known as the "Xi Shi Quan" (西施犬), based on the name of Xi Shi, regarded as the most beautiful woman of ancient China. It is a small dog with a short muzzle and large deep dark eyes, with a soft long, double coat. Drop ears are covered with long fur, and the heavily furred tail is carried curled over the back. Shih Tsu are very sensitive to high temperatures.

My friend owns a Shih Tzu and I know that it loves me a lot because everytime when it sees me it got sooo excited and highly energetic! However, it doesn't look like a Shih Tzu now after getting a hair cut! Guess it's more like a Chihuahua! I've posted about it before and if you wish to read that post please click HERE.
