Exams Are Coming!!

Mid term exams are just around the corner! Third year biotechnology students from UNIMAS will have one test tomorrow and another on Thursday. Subsequently, there is another test next week! Are you all ready with the exams?? I AM NOT READY YET!! =X

Have you done with your revision? I wonder why am I still here since I've not yet finished my revision! Err.. Wish me luck! Please~! =P

And hopefully I can do well in the exams!! Pray for me!! =D

Study hard or smart? Try both will be the best solution for better result! Wish those who are going to sit for exams soon a very good luck and all the best!! Especially all those from third year Biotechnology and also my dear Joan Tang!

Which Magazine Do You Read?

Which magazine do you read? Or should I ask, do you read magazine? Or magazinesS? For me, I bought my first magazine during lower six which was ifeel. I still remember the cover girl was Cyndi Wang! Unlike the tiny-sized ifeel u can see in the market now, the magazine was still in large size. I got more than 20 ifeels at my house! =X

iFeel March 2011

iFeel is known as the most comprehensive fashion magazine portal, for urban people from age 15-30 years old. The most important thing is that it is cheaper than other magazines so I can afford it! Although it has changed to a smaller size the contents are still rich enough. Besides, it's a local magazine so most of the items introduced can be purchased more easily! It's about time for me to grab the iFeel March 2011! =D

Vivi March 2011

Vivi is originally from Japan published by Kodansha. The target age group are teens and young women between 17-27 years old. Vivi is popular enough among the young generation. I never buy Vivi because it's quite expensive. To what I've seen last night, the price is RM18! Besides, the contents are more to Japan style and it's not really suitable here. Or am I the one who's being too conservative?

Mina March 2011

Mina is another magazine originated from Japan. However, there is international chinese version of Mina available in Malaysia since 2008. I've never bought Mina before too but if you are interested in it you can visit its FORUM. There are a lot of discussions regarding the latest fashion inside.

Popteen March 2011

Popteen is a monthly teenage fashion magazine published by the Kadokawa Haruki Corporation in Japan. It is one of Asia's top fashion magazine. The magazine if famous for having a "user-model-business-model" where its readers become models in the magazine. It is notable for its coverage of Gyaru fashions. I got to know this magazine through the forum too and I found out that most of the cover page of Popteens are 'bling bling' enough! Guess it is suitable for younger girls! Visit its site at HERE.

Actually there are a lot of other magazines available in the market such as Cleo, Jasmine, Nu You, Quisy and etc. Which do you prefer? What kinds of contents do you like? For me, I still love ifeel so far. The contents are young and it is affordable! =D

Makan Makan at Da Light!

It has been a long time since I last went to Da Light for makan makan! Last Thursday night I went there again with my dear Joan Tang for dinner. Throughout my almost three years at Kuching, everytime I went to Da Light I ordered food from the same stall.

This is the stall I mentioned. It's named China Specialties. The boss is from China with obvious China tone. LoLz. The guy inside the stall showed in the picture is the boss. He is quite friendly and the food is not expensive as well! =) 

 Prawn Rice - RM5.00

This is what I ordered and it is always one of my favourite food in Kuching! The quantities have become less if compare to my first year in Kuchig. The fried vege and apple were missing if I'm not mistaken. But it's still my favourite!! The prawn and the egg tasted so good!! Furthermore, I'm an egg lover! =P

Pork Rice - RM4.50

This is what Joan had ordered. I've never ordered this but I've tasted it once or twice. It's tasty as well!

HoneyDew Milk Tea (With Pearl)- RM3.50

Peach Milk Tea - RM3.00

Since we didn't go to Da Light for a really long time so we were surprised to find out that there's a kiosk selling Milk Tea and Waffle! The milk tea tasted good because it is 'kao' enough! LoLz. Hmm.. I think I should start planning when is my next visit to Da Light since I'm going to graduate this year! =D

Biotech Final Year Students' Photo

There was a photo-shooting session for Biotech final year students last Monday. There are 90+ students but only 29 were able to show up. Where are the rest?? Some were busy in the lab, some waited for too long and gave up the chance, some were very 'cool' to say that they didn't like to take photos! We are from FSTS but we took photo at FIT. For me, I didn't know that we were going to take photo on that day so I didn't wear pretty pretty lar~! Haha. Can you see where am I in the photos??

In Love With Papercraft: My Roomate's Addicted Too!

Param with the papercraft doggy she built!

Meet my cute roomate, Param who is addicted to papercraft like me too!! Last night, when I got frustrated that I couldn't get connected to my broadband, she came back from class and started cutting the paper. That made my hands itchy! I also wanna build my own papercraft!!Too bad it's too expensive to print at koperasi. =(

This is the final look of the innocent doggy. I had contributed to its ears. As I've said just now, my hands were itchy so cannot stand. LoLz. We had spent whole night investigating how to combine every components. There is instruction but it's in Japanese. And I can't understand Japanese!!

 The pity look of the doggy! It looks fine this way. But when you turn to its buttock...

Tada~ There is a hole at the back there. We dunno how does it look like actually so just simply leave a hole there. Param said that's for it to sh*t! Wuahahahaha.. Esther even said that if the doggy really sh*t then Param as the owner has the responsibility to clean the apartment.LoLz. I think they are just too cute! =P

Another thing is that Param gave it to me for remembrance after I've graduated! Thanks a lot Param!! Or should I name it Param? Thanks for being such a nice and friendly roomate! She'll be my first and last roomate in my uni life! =X

Lessons From Pooh Bear!

Most of us are familiar with Disney which has produced a lot of famous cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Stitch, Winnie The Pooh and etc. I'm once a child of course I know all those cartoon characters! I used to stick in front of the TV once I got back from school during those old days. LoLz. Anyway, the topic of this post is Winnie The Pooh!

I'm not really into Winnie The Pooh and you might not be into it as well but you can't deny its cuteness and innocence right? As we grow older, we tend to feel that most of the cartoons are stupid and nonsense to us. However, sometimes we just need to clear our minds and take some breaks to really enjoy those cartoons because we might reveal some implicit lessons incorporated inside!

Never be choosy when you're making friends!

Winnie-the-Pooh has friends from different kinds of species such as Tigger the tiger, Eeyore the donkey, Piglet the pig, Rabbit the rabbit, Kanga and Roo the kangaroos, Christopher Robin, a human and many more. We cannot apply it directly in our lives by making friends with different kinds of species such as dogs, cats, snakes and whatever! Unless you enjoy being with them. When we apply it to our daily life, we can actually define it as to making friends without considering the races, skin colors and etc. Everyone as a unique individual shouldn't be limited  with his/her race. Even there is a group of certain races which you hate very much, there might be exceptions! Please stop your judgement on a new friend you have made without trying to really understand him/her. =P

Enjoy the moment with those you feel good to be with!

Enjoy every moments with those you feel good to be with because you never know who's gonna change for the next second. We can never predict who's gonna appear or even disappear in our lives soon. Appreciate everyone around you. Spend more time with those you are relax to be with and never hate those you feel sick with. Our lives are too short. If you spend time on hating someone, it can be a waste of time. If you really don't like to be with someone, stay away from him/her rather than backstabbing him/her. Don't get angry easily because anger might mask your true heart and with a masked heart you just can't see the truth. Look for some trustworthy friends and share your thought with them. Especially in uni, you never know what would happen after you graduate. You might even lost contact with your best friends! So, enjoy every moments you can enjoy now. =)

Enjoy pretty scene alone!

As we grow older, we should learn to be independent and we should be responsible to ourselves. No one is gonna take the best care of you except you yourself. Only you yourself know what you really want deep inside your heart and what is the best solution. Never expect someone to be responsible to your emotions. Even your close family members, you cannot expect them to really understand what's your true feeling. As what I've said in my status in Facebook before, sometimes family members do hurt. =( Sometimes, it is really OK to be alone. And yeah, we should learn to enjoy the moments when we are alone! Just like the Pooh in the picture above, enjoying the autumn scene alone. Loneliness might be scary but the best solution is to enjoy it! =S

Look for friends when you need them!

When you need help, look for friends! They would not appear automatically because they never know when you need them! Friends don't come to your way on their own unless they have certain special feeling towards you. Err.. You know what I mean right? LoLz. Sometimes, when we just need someone to listen to you, look for friends and tell them your true feeling. They will not come frequently and ask:" Hey, are you OK?? Do you need some ears?" Of course, it is critical to look for friends who are trustworthy but not the "ah dog ah cat" around you unless you wanna get famous because those "ah dog ah cat" tends to share your stories to everyone. Don't feel shame when you need help. Look for friends when you need them!! P/S: you are welcome to tell me your feeling if you think that I'm trustworthy for you! =D

Always take care of your health!

I guess you all know that health is the most important thing in our lives. No matter what we do and what we eat we should always take good care of our health. No cigarettes and no alcoholic drinks aren't enough. We should also mind on the food we eat everyday. Just like the Pooh who loves honey a lot! Haha. I'm not asking you to eat honey like the Pooh but at least we should have a balance diet. Don't skip meals just because you wanna get slimmer. Breakfast is the most important meal and we should never skip it! Although I skip it sometimes. Do more exercise when you have grown horizontally. Haha. I'm the one who's lazy for exercise actually. Check your tummy once you wake up like the Pooh in the picture above! =X

Err.. This is another long post I think. You might feel that I'm bluffing but I just wanna share my thoughts with you all. Now, look inside the mirror and tell me what do you see?

The Pooh!

HTC HD7 or HTC Desire HD?

Those who know me in real life definitely know that I am currently using HTC. Don't ask me anymore is it Desire?? Let me tell you, it's NOT! It's HTC HD2. Most of the people know about HTC Desire HD through the promotion from Digi and if I'm not mistaken, Maxis has been promoting HTC HD7 few months ago. However, I'm not really interested in signing contract in any centre to get a new HTC because I'm too lazy to calculate for the benefits and costs I would get. In fright of 'rugi' I would like to buy a new one from HTC centre IF I could afford. =X

HTC has been awarded as "2011 Device Manufacturer Of The Year" by the GSMA.

In this post, I would like to share two models of HTC which I am interested in! The first will be HTC HD7!

 

Known as the Monster entertainment, it's clear that HTC HD7 is definitely a good choice for FUN! One very important aspect for me to consider when I'm choosing a phone is its camera. One thing I love about HTC is that even though the camera is only 5MP but it's several-fold better than 'some other brands' with higher MP. Another thing I love about is its wide 4.3" high resolution screen. HD7 is specified with 5MP color camera with auto focus and dual LED flash. This specification is the same with HD2. Besides, it's definitely a good choice for recording or filming. The quality is the best among all the phones I've used before. As you can see above, the HTC HD7 comes with a 720p HD camcorder. I'm nost sure about the HD2 but since HD7 is a higher graded version than HD2, for sure it's a better phone compare to HD2!

Next, HTC Desire HD.



I have asked a friend (not really a friend of mine but my friend's friend! =P) who's working at HTC centre regarding HD7 and Desire HD and he said that HD7 is more for FUN with the excellent entertainment it brings and Desire HD is more to its usefulness for a business man. Many website claim that HTC Desire HD is probably the best Android phone ever made. It comes with upgraded Sense UI showing your friends' Facebook status when they ring and can download maps for usage when you're offline! This sounds interesting! =)

Yes, this is a 8MP camera with dual LED flash, capable of recording 720p HD video!! This makes me excited! In my opinion, HD7 is with a prettier outlook but Desire HD is with a better function!! Which one do you prefer and perhaps your opinion could change my mind! =P

P/S: Don't compare it with iPhone. I cannot afford it! I'll be loyal to HTC! Well, not in a long run. Because people do change due to many factors! =X

Does it call narcissism?

I dunno how silly do I look when I purposely put on make up and dress up like I'm going out but actually I just stay at home for camwhoring. It's not the first time already. But still, it's a very rare case OK! Because I'm too lazy to put on make up and also to remove the make up after a 'long time' of photo shooting. Yes, I always take A LOT OF photos but most of them are sucks. Here, I've chosen some photos which are 'not so sucks' to share. LoLz..

Narcissism is the word I've found while I'm trying to translate the word "自恋". An online dictionary defines it as the excessive love or admiration on oneself. So, I guess I've got the correct word for it?? Correct me if I'm wrong. My English is poor anyway~ =X

Honestly I should be busy doing my assignment tonight but I end up doing all these meaningless things.. LoLz. I'm always 'extra lazy' when it comes to my studies. Assignments, mid terms, FYP... Anyway, I'm satisfied to have finally updated my blog and yeah, it's time for ASSIGNMENT!! =P

I Hate Spiders!!

I used to neither love nor hate spiders. However, an incident happened today and I just wish to shout out loudly :"I HATE SPIDERS!!"

I went back to my campus to take some of my clothes this afternoon and on my way to SugarBun to 'dabao' my lunch, I saw something moving at my window. Since I was driving at that time so it took me some times to really 'see' the moving creature. And GOSH! It's a spider!! I got so panic that I tried so hard to control myself from screaming. I was released once I confirmed that the spider was actually outside the window but not inside!

Can you see the spider?? Although it was outside, it's sooo disgusting to see it moving here and there. I tried to speed up to 'blow' away the spider but it hide under the shade of the window. I tried to open and close the window in a very fast way to scare the spider away too but it just didn't wanna go away!! So, I decided to use an umbrella to grant it an easy death once I reached SugarBun.

When I stopped by a traffic light, the spider quickly climbed and hide into the hole shown in red!! That means that my plan has failed miserably!

When I think of that my left window is broken and cannot be closed completely, I got panic once again thinking that there might be spiders or other creatures hiding at any corners of my car!! Damn it!! I should have asked my brother to send my car for repairing last time!! Grr...!! I hope the stupid spider has gone away by now!!

And when I looked for information about spiders on Google, I found this:

Oh my GOSH!! A bird-eating spider!! It makes me shriek like a little schoolgirl!! The website says that this is rare, but it does happen.

There were too many food to eat that I din try every food.

I only remember I ate a lot of cabbages.. Haha..

Then, I would like to share about my field trip to DBKU on last Wednesday which is 16/02/2011!!

DBKU stands for Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara!!

I only manage to know its full name when I reached there! =X

We went there by bus~

There were almost 100 ppl including all my coursemates led by 3 lecturers!

When we passed by the gate of UNIMAS, Jacq found this and asked me to take a photo of it.

There was a short briefing but there was a mistake on the slide.

We are not working on human ok!! It's sooo unethical! LoLz..

Then, there was tea time for us!! Yohoo~

Haha, always got so excited when there's something to eat!! =P

I miss the green bean soup soooo much!!! =P

The place we had our food was at the highest floor of the building!

Therefore, the scenes were soooo attractive!!

And the most fabulous thing is that the floor was slowly spinning!!

That's mean if you stay for a longer time, you could possibly enjoy different scenes by just sitting there!!

But becareful lar~ Easily got pening pening bah..

After that, it's time to visit the Cat Museum!!

I just know that Cat Museum is located inside the building of DBKU!! =X
